The two sides held friendly talks centering on implementing the Memorandum of Understanding and further deepening China‑Kazakhstan mining cooperation.
President Cheng Liwei first congratulated the successful holding of the “Kazakhstan Day” event. He then outlined the China Mining Association’s industry coverage across the whole mining industrial chain and all mineral types, as well as Chinese enterprises’ technical expertise and investment capacity in mineral exploration and development. President Cheng noted the strong complementarity of mineral resources between China and Kazakhstan. Mineral resources including copper, gold, iron, chromium, manganese and uranium in Kazakhstan are highly complementary to China’s market demand. Upholding the principles of win‑win cooperation, mutual learning and mutual advancement, the China Mining Association stands ready to work with the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines to implement the Memorandum of Understanding, and advance regular cooperation in information sharing, project matching and personnel exchanges. Through hosting project promotion events and organizing Chinese enterprise delegations for mine visits to Kazakhstan, the two sides can drive China‑Kazakhstan mining cooperation toward deeper and more substantive outcomes.
President Baimishev thanked Chinese authorities and President Cheng Liwei for the participation in and support for the “Kazakhstan Day” event. He mentioned that more than 20 Chinese enterprises have visited Kazakhstan in the year following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, and participating enterprises have earned good reputations within the Chinese market. He introduced that members of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines are located worldwide. The Chamber is committed to safeguarding investors’ interests and promoting improvements to industry‑related legislation. It stands ready to actively advance project promotion events, welcome Chinese enterprises to conduct on‑site investigations in Kazakhstan and offer full support, looking forward to tangible results from bilateral cooperation at an early date.
