President Cheng Liwei first expressed gratitude for the warm reception by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, and the two sides jointly reviewed their successful cooperation at the 2025 China Mining Conference. He noted that this year’s China Mining Conference will further expand in scale and deepen cooperation, continuing its commitment to building a more efficient platform for connecting Chinese and foreign mining enterprises in resources, technology and capital, and advancing international cooperation in the mining sector to greater depth and breadth. President Cheng Liwei sincerely invited the Uzbek side to send a high-level delegation to attend this year’s Conference, and responded to the Ambassador’s requests. He emphasized that the CMA has always adhered to the principle of win-win cooperation, complementary strengths and mutual promotion, and is willing to conduct practical cooperation with Uzbekistan across the full mining industry chain.
Ambassador Farhod Arziyev welcomed President Cheng Liwei and his delegation’s visit. He expressed strong interest in Uzbekistan’s participation in this year’s China Mining Conference, stating that he would actively promote the attendance of officials from the Ministry of Mining and Geology. The Ambassador spoke highly of China’s technological strength and level of development across the entire mining industry chain, particularly recognizing China’s globally leading advantage in the deep processing of mineral resources. He stated that China-Uzbekistan mining cooperation holds broad prospects, and expressed an urgent desire to attract Chinese enterprises through cooperative promotion to invest in the smelting, processing, and high-value-added product manufacturing of copper, gold and other minerals, with a view to helping Uzbekistan build its own mineral resource industry chain.
